Oahu, Hawaii: Dole Plantation

The Dole Plantation:  We only stopped there to take a picture on our honeymoon but it was on my list to explore during our family vacation.  Our Go Card provided us with a ride on the Pineapple Express (educational: describes history and you see actual growing plants/fruits), Plantation Garden Tour (we did not visit this), and the World's Largest Maze.  There are many food options at the Plantation Grille along with other food vendors at the patio.  There is a large gift shop, pineapple cutting demonstrations and samples, eating area, and restrooms.

Did you know that pineapples came from Spain?
We learned about the Hawaiian Pineapple.

Map:  red dotes indicate where the secret stations are.

We found a secret station!

Slide your card in then outline the key hole to prove that you found it.

It was REALLY hot and almost no shade so we didn't finish all of the maze.
If my kiddos would have been older I would have gladly let them explore the maze while I sat in the shade ;-)

Amazing!!!  It reminded me of a cross between a soft serve ice cream and a pineapple sherbet.

Something interesting from the gift shop.

Yes - Spam really is popular in Hawaii!
