Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 cups orange juice 2 tablespoons shortening 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 cups fresh whole cranberries 1 tablespoon orange zest Directions: In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour the batter into 2 well greased 8" bread pans. Bake at 350 for 55 min or till tooth pick comes out clean. Refrigerate or freeze to preserve the freshness longer than a day. |

Cranberry Bread
This is a delicious bread that provides a touch of citrus taste! It's one that my mom makes every Christmas. Since we love it so much I decided to share it.
