My family traveled to New York City in the summer of 2015. One important stop on our list was to visit the 9/11 Memorial. On our way to New York, we read a kid friendly book about what happened on 9/11.
The year after our visit, our favorite book series came out with What Were the Twin Towers. Which is a much better option compared to what we found.

Here's our experience:

Since we had already taken the kids on two other building tours, and we had a very busy schedule, just one of us went to the One World Observatory. |
Now on two the exterior portions of the memorial.
This outside memorial can be visited with no entry fee.

YAY! Our CityPASS saved us some time in line! |
Unlike many of our other stops, this location was very silent.
We could have spent days looking at all this memorial holds.
I am not going to share it all but here is a bit of what we saw.
